Draft for review. Confirm every statement below against what the app actually collects and which services it uses before publishing or submitting to app stores, and have a lawyer review it.
1. Who we are
TruzHive ("we", "us") provides a mobile app that routes questions through a user's trusted network, with AI assistance, local business lookup and chat. Contact: support@truzhive.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Profile details: profession, skills, areas of expertise, hobbies, and location (city, state, postal code, country).
- Business profile details, if you create one: business name, address, contact details, services, hours.
- Questions, answers and conversations you take part in.
- Trust network data: contacts you add and trust relationships you establish.
- Topic preferences you select.
Collected automatically
- Device type, operating system and app version.
- Usage information, such as features used and questions asked.
- Your stated city or region from your profile. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit permission.
- Log data such as API requests and error logs for troubleshooting.
3. How we use information
- Provide the service: route questions to your trust network, generate AI responses, and show local businesses on request.
- Match expertise to questions using your profession, skills and profile data.
- Improve reliability and features, and fix bugs.
- Send service messages and, with your consent, optional updates.
- Prevent fraud and abuse and comply with legal obligations.
4. AI and third-party services
To provide Smart features, question text, and profile data used for tag enrichment, is sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI models for classification, answers and embeddings). We do not send your phone number or email to these services beyond what the task requires. These providers state that data sent through their APIs is not used to train their models; see their policies for details.
If you opt in to local business lookup, your question and approximate location are sent to Google Places to retrieve business information, which is governed by Google's privacy policy.
We also use infrastructure and subscription providers (for example Google Firebase for hosting, authentication and notifications, and RevenueCat for subscriptions) that process data on our behalf.
5. Sharing
Your questions and replies are visible to the people in your trust network who receive or take part in them. We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time; see Delete your account.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, manage contacts, and opt out of local business lookup. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.
8. Children
TruzHive is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
